T-shirt in a limited edition of 100 pieces, made from mercerized cotton jersey and entirely produced in Italy. It features three shiny plastisol prints: a front graphic with the title of the essay by British artist Scott King, the MOS logo on the left sleeve, and a text from the essay on the back. Packaged in a special transparent vacuum-sealed bag, it comes with a double-sided poster (50×70 cm), signed and numbered by King, featuring a second excerpt from the essay. The mercerization process gives the fabric a shinier surface. Relaxed fit.

Essay on the t-shirt:

The text reflects on the figure of the “forgotten cultural worker”: an artist excluded from the system, who clings to the illusion of being able to revolutionise it through his work. This illusion emerges as a reaction to marginalisation and starkly contrasts the success of peers who excel at networking and self-promotion. The artist is thus forced to confront the inconclusiveness of his efforts and the irrelevance of his position within a context dominated by visibility and power.

Essay on the poster:

The second text explores the role of the contemporary artist with cultural institutions. According to King, the concept of “resistance” has lost its meaning, reduced to a superficial aesthetic. Rather than opposing the system, artists now collaborate with it, producing work that often serves as a marketing tool for institutions. In this framework, only those who conform to the dominant narrative are rewarded, and the notion of artistic resistance becomes a mere illusion.
