THE PROCESS
A dialogue between art, graphic design and social criticism

For this Chapter, Massimo Osti Studio established a dialogue with the contemporary art scene, choosing Scott King for his ability to combine a critical perspective with a simple, direct style. King immersed himself in the Massimo Osti Archive, exploring the Italian designer’s graphic approach with tracing paper, experimental printing techniques and pop art influences. A natural synergy emerged from this research: both drew on pop art aesthetics transforming it into a tool for communication and critical reflection. This affinity takes shape in an ‘anti-slogan t-shirt’ that fuses King's satirical style with Osti's graphic language.
